how we started
my new year’s resolution for 2026 was simple: find a career I actually care about.
i’ve always loved throwing over-the-top, themed parties, so when my mom suggested I host something for valentine’s day, I thought… would anyone actually care?
like i always do, i posted the idea on tiktok—and it went kind of crazy overnight. i shared the video on a monday, and by friday, tickets were already live. honestly, it felt like i pulled off a miracle.
with just over a month to make it all happen, the event completely sold out. but the best part? i didn’t do it alone. I asked winnipeg for their ideas, their input, their opinions—and people showed up for it.
so while i started it, this really became something bigger. a community effort. and that’s what made it so special.
i have made friends and connections that i plan to nurture and continue growing, all thanks to
